Alumni Testimonials
The faculty made me understand that while learning the law is important, it is more useful when you learn in context of the people. From the legal trainings and knowledge I got, I was able to grow some wisdom that has given me leverage in negotiations and human relationships. The faculty showed me the humanity in law.
Akeju Ganiu Olusegun
Former Students' Union President of the University of Ibadan
I represented the Faculty in the African Human Rights Moot and led the first team from Nigeria and West Africa to the ELSA Moot on WTO Law (now John H. Jackson Moot) all of which still set me apart in my endeavours years after graduating from the Faculty. A lot can be achieved from this faculty!
Mujib Jimoh
Best Graduating Student (Male Category) Chief Judge, Law Students' Society, Judicial Council.
He graduated from the faculty in 2020 with a First Class, as the Best Graduating Male Student in his cohort. At the Nigerian Law School, he carted national prizes in Civil Litigation and Property Law Practice during the 2021 Call to Bar ceremonies.
Adediran Adesokan
Best Graduating Male Student, 2020 Class
The faculty of law remains an extraordinary part of my journey as a global legal professional. I am beyond grateful for the teaching and mentorship of my lecturers and for the very warm friendships that have lasted beyond the four walls of the University of Ibadan.
